Snoop Dogg has an "Eruption"

Finally, the video was released for "Sensual Seduction" (Sexual Eruption). This is by far the FUNNIEST video I have seen I a long, long time. Snoop uses a vocorder to change his voice a little. At first I didn't really like the song (that's why I didn't post it), but the video definitely makes me like the song a lot more. He takes it back to the 70s and portrays a Rick James, Prince, Michael, and EWF (Earth, Wind, and Fire) type of video (and style!). Snoop is wearing his grandma's chruch hat in one scene, and a turban in the next. So unpredictable you just have to love him!
(p.s. the tracking, play, and stop signs (VCR days) are part of the video!)

Nas' Album Pushed Back!

The album Nigger originally expected to be called 'Nigga' and released on December 11, 2007, has been pushed back to February 2008.

There has been a lot of controversy over the album's title, but Nas has a lot of support behind him. L.A. Reid, chairman of Def Jam, is supporting Nas despite the fact that many politicians and public speakers are against it. According to MTV News, Alicia Keys, Jay-Z, LL Cool J, Rev Run, Russell Simmons, and 50 Cent are all supporting the title of the album and state that Nas is intelligent and wants people to pay attention.

With all of this hype the album better be all that he's making it up to be. It should address all the racism issues that are coming up and have been swept under the rug. I hope that somehow Nas can go back to his Illmatic and Stillmatic days.

Although she's on lock-down right now, the diva is waiting her return for her February 5th release of "Brooklyn's Don Diva." She's been sentenced to a year but could be up for parole in eight months.

On Stage Breakdown

During his first performance, just one week after his mother's death, Kanye West emotionally breaks down.
West was performing 'Hey Mama' in Paris and just couldn't start singing the song. He cried for almost a minute before someone came on the stage to comfort him. (His fiance maybe?)
He left the stage, but returned a few moments afterward to close the show out with his hit single 'Stronger'.

The track is HoT!!! It samples Nancy Sinatra's version of "Bang, Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)". Not you're typical 'she left me because I was cheating' song. It shows how much talent Ne-Yo has to take a song like "Bang, Bang" from the 60's and turn it into a hot R&B track.

There are already a million and one versions of this song, but Chris did well. It's pretty soulful and it shows off his voice in the beginning. The video however, is hillarious. Chris is walking around, spreading christmas cheer by lighting up and making over houses. But there's one little boy (in the bedroom scene) with a ridiculous haircut. What is that, an arrow mohawk??? WHY?!

News Update!

As we all know by now, Donda West, Kanye West's mother, has died. Until now, facts about the procedure has not been released. Dr. Jan Adams had performed a tummy tuck and breast reduction on West. After the procedure was done, West was adamant about going back to her home and Adams released her without having her sign a patient refusal form.

According to "Access Hollywood", Adams had been referred by Oprah Winfrey. Oprah denies referring Adams to West but he has made a guest appearance on her show. He also had his own show on Discovery Health, "Plastic Surgery: Before and After", a line of skin care products, and is the author of two books on plastic surgery.

Currently, there are three open cases against Adams, one being a civil case by an Orange County woman who claims that he botched a surgery to remove excess skin and reshape her abdomen and chest.

Adams was convicted on DUI charges in 2006 and plead no contest to a DUI charge in 2003. The Medical Board of California is still trying to determine whether his license should be suspended or revoked due to the two alcohol related cases that he's had in the past 5 years.

West's autopsy was performed, but the results were inconclusive until the test results come back in 6-8 weeks. There has not been any announcements for funeral arrangements but it has been reported that she may be laid to rest in her hometown, Oklahoma City.

(My condolences to Kanye West and his family. This just proves that people should be more careful with the doctors they choose to perform surgery on them. Do your research people, don't think that just because a person was on television, he or she is legit.)

I know this blog is about fashion and music but something this ground-breaking deserves attention.

It is final, Michael Jordan breaks records with his $168 million divorce settlement. This is the most expensive celebrity divorce settlement on public record.

Jordan's ex-wife Juanita Jordan will recieve this massive amount of money, custody of their three children, and their seven-acre estate in Chicago.

Michael and Juanita Jordan were married since September 1989. They filed for a divorce in December 2006 for the second time (the first time was in January 2002), following a paternity suit that happened earlier that year. Michael Jordan was not the father of the child.

Kanye West's Mother Dies

Donda West, mother of Kanye West and former chairwoman of Chicago University’s English department, has died Saturday at the age of 58.

West was taken to the Centinela Freeman Regional Medical Center in Marina del Rey by paramedics after she stopped breathing in her home.

Recent information suggests that West died from surgery related complications. It is said that West had gone to a plastic surgeon months ago but never returned because she failed to get medical clearance for a previous medical condition.

The exact cause of death is still not known; however, an autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday.
